Billy Kidd is 40
Posted in: Funny, Personal
Yup. February 22nd, 1970. I know, everyone has birthdays. I’ve had a bunch of them. But this one is REALLY bugging me. I mean, keeping me up at night bugging me. I still feel 25. Actually, I still feel 15. I just can’t get over the fact that I’m 40 now. That’s an adult. A grownup. ME! I’M a grownup?! Oh, if people only knew. LOL. I can no longer wear my baseball caps backwards. Should the word “Dude” be removed from my vocabulary? I have two kids and a wife that rely on me. I thought by 40 I’d have this life we live figured out. I don’t. I’m winging it. With that said, here’s my list of top 10 things I’ve learned in my 40 years.
10. If you don’t know how to fix something, hire someone to do it correctly. It will be MUCH cheaper in the long run.
9. Not everybody is going to like you. That’s ok. Just go with it.
8. Family should be more important than work.
7. It’s just money. The people in your life are worth WAY more than any number in your bank account.
6. You can choose sides if you want to, but in the end, a politician is a politician.
5. Sometimes the journey is more fun than the destination.
4. Books are cool.
3. Jesus is cool.
2. Asking for help when you need it is ok.
1. I owe more to my parents than I could ever repay.
