Poor Jo Dee Messina. The release of Jo Dee’s upcoming Unmistakable C-D has once again been postponed by her record label and she’s none too happy about it. Jo Dee tells Belleville, Illinois New Democrat, “The album has been (ready) since 2007, and there is always some sort of reason they have not to release it … In fact, it was supposed to be released April 13th, and now (it) has been delayed (again). It’s just so frustrating for me.”

Well it has been an interesting week. My surgery is now 7 days past, I came home from the hospital on Saturday and am still marveling at what a lucky woman I am. The most important thing to note is that all is well, after extensive testing I have a clean bill from all pathologists, surgeons and medical types. There were 2 thoughts that crossed my mind when I was handed this wonderful document, suitable for framing, in my weird world.

Thought #1: How freaking lucky am I? Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thought #2: I wish everyone that has ever laid in a hospital bed or anywhere really, waiting for the word from some far away life defining lab could feel what I was feeling at that moment.

The reality is many are not nearly as lucky as I was. I will always remember to be grateful. I’m not much for taking too much for granted in this life but I will be obsessive about it now.

The healing process has begun, I am movin’ kinda slow (at the junction) OK, I walk like I’m about 114 with a foreign object protruding from my hind quarters….great visual isn’t it……I do have a way with words!

I am on the mend, I will follow the Doctor’s orders, to the letter. I hope to be back on the air from my home in a month or so and back to the station in about 7 weeks, that should do it. In the mean time, THANK YOU for all the prayers (keep ‘em coming, they are what provided me with the outcome I was hoping for), for the cards, facebook messages and e-mails. You are all blessings in my life, ones I am most thankful for. My family and friends have been waiting on me hand and foot, I want for nothing!!! At the risk of repeating myself, I am one lucky lady!! Thank you!! I have you in my prayers as well, Terry

After taking a tumble on stage over the weekend, Brad Paisley asked anyone who got the video of his fall post it to YouTube. A few have posted the frightening footage, but a fan who goes by the nickname “TalkToMeJJV,” was apprehensive. He writes, “I’m posting this at the request of Brad Paisley via Twitter. I would have never posted this if he hadn’t asked.”

Brad, who suffered some bruising in the incident, promised meet-and-greet passes to whoever posted the video first.

Watch out...Turning 30 will lead to Self Awareness and Security in Oneself!

As I march headlong into my 30’s, I have been reflecting on the lessons I learned through this tumultuous and change filled decade of my life. I have made countless apartments into homes, the nature of my relationships with my friends, family, and lovers have changed, and I have changed and grown within myself! Comparing me at 29 to me at 21 is like comparing an apple to a Ford Focus.

With that in mind, I found a list of 29 Things You’re too Old for at 29 on my my favorite website, TheFrisky.com and I want to share MY Top Ten with you!

1. Celebrate your birthday on more than one day

2. Think of your high school boyfriend as the one who got away

3. Put up posters with tape or thumbtacks instead of frames

4. Calling men “boys” on a regular basis

5. Say or write “LOL”

6. Tote your dog around everywhere, unless you are blind and he/she is a seeing-eye dog.

7. Own teddy bears and other stuffed animals, unless you have one (singular!) that is left over from your childhood that holds a lot of sentimental value

8. Call your father “daddy”

9. Have your parents pay your bills, unless it’s your student loans and they insist OR you’re going through a short, temporary rough financial patch

10. Wear glasses for “fashion” when you don’t have a prescription or vision issues

Are you KIDDING ME?! (Punn intended) So this air traffic controller at JFK thought it would be fun to bring his kid to work. Not only was the kid there (distracting him) but he put the kid on the radio to direct some flights. REALLY?! I’d say any distraction is too much of a distraction. Espicially with that job. He’s currenting suspended pending an investigation. What are they investigating?! Just how BIG of an idiot this guy is? Fire him now. The Great Shake Debate

I have been listening to the Bee several years now and always during my lunch at work, but NOT TODAY! Enough about the stupid shamrock shake…..Don’t you have anything else to talk about? I am turning the Bee off for a while and maybe when I get back from lunch there will be something else not so lame than whether or not u got your shake…. PLEASE CHANGE THE SUBJECT!”

Well, Julia, in response to your kind email, I must say only one thing:

YOU’VE OBVIOUSLY NEVER HAD A SHAMROCK SHAKE.

I read Julia’s email on the air today and offered a solution for the frown on her face and the anger in her tone:

So a few weeks ago I spoke to some students at RH-Senior high. It was a big thrill for me to roam the halls I used to desecrate stroll back in the 80’s. A week or two after my visit, the “RH FACTOR” newsletter was mailed out to Henrietta residents with an article about me. The only problem, the picture in the article ISN’T ME!!! I discovered the weirdest thing inside our refrigerator, today. We all probably have those six packs of pudding, Jello and, maybe, applesauce. But, a snack pack of…pickles?

I never knew that the PicklePak even existed, but, my wife says they’re a hit when she brings one to work each day!

So, what’s unusual about your fridge? Here’s what ours looks like…outside and in.
