That’s right…I’m more apt to read magazines than bury myself in a ‘good book’…and I love all kinds of magazines…especially those about news, sports, food and travel.

I am not a fan of most men’s magazines, though…

Men’s Health, Maxim, or Esquire  all seem to represent lifestyles I never, nor, at this point in my life, ever will attain.

I think it goes back to my dad.  Not only did Herm read Popular Science magazine religiously, he SAVED them all!  When he died, we found more than thirty years worth of issues of Popular Science dating back to the 1950s stacked neatly…by month and year…in his workshop!

I did the same for years with Sports Illustrated…I have maybe fifteen years worth down in the basement somewhere…magazines my son will just throw away some day.

Here’s a good website for you guys…it rates the best and the worst of some of the most popular magazines for men:

So, if you love a good magazine, I pose this question…if you were stranded on a desert island and could only have one magazine subscription, which would it be?  Lemme know…below

  1. Steve – do you know how valuable your Dad’s magazine collection is? Antiques are not just things – lots of paper items are collectible. I hope you save them & Stevie saves your collection. I would want Country or Reminisce magazine – love their pictures & stories. Almost as much as I love listening to the Morning Show – never a dull moment with you guys. Thanks for sharing. M
